PROCEDURES

2. Model the 23.5 degree tilt of the EARTH on its AXIS.Determine that the PARTS OF EARTH are
closer to the sun during certain seasons due to the tilt.
3.Hold the Model of EARTH on its tilt and move around the light source that represents the sun to see where the light illuminates the EARTH.
4. Measure the areas that are illuminated(day time) and the areas that are dark(night) to determine that
daylight hours are longer during different seasons.
5. Use a flashlight to model and draw direct and indirect sunlight. This will help understand why the EARTH is warmer during certain seasons.
